Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Tissot unveiled the Gentleman collection for men in 2020. The watches in this line are characterized by an elegant and understated design, and with a diameter of 40 mm, they're ideal for almost any wrist. Women with a preference for larger timepieces are also sure to find something that suits their sense of style.

The Gentleman collection offers models with quartz or automatic movements, all of which are water-resistant to 100 m (10 bar, 328 ft) and fitted with a sapphire crystal. The quartz-powered versions are available in stainless steel with a blue, black, or silver dial, while the titanium variants come with dials in blue or gray. Both watches make for a very affordable entry point into the collection.

Automatic models in the Gentleman collection are equipped with the Powermatic caliber 80. The movement is based on the ETA caliber 2824-2 from Swiss movement manufacturer ETA, features a silicon balance spring, and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. It's also visible through the watch's transparent case back.

Standard models equipped with the Powermatic 80 are made of stainless steel and come with a black, white, blue, green, or turquoise dial. The Tissot Powermatic 80 Open Heart offers two men's versions with an open-worked dial between 10 and 12 o'clock, giving wearers a clear view of the balance wheel.

Fans of two-tone timepieces can also choose from a range of stainless steel watches with yellow or rose gold bezels.

You can buy a mint-condition Tissot Gentleman on Chrono24 for approximately 400 USD. This will get you a quartz version on a stainless steel bracelet, for example. If you'd prefer the automatic Powermatic caliber 80, plan to spend at least 800 USD for models with a steel bracelet.
