Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase "New Moon"
Shortly after the release of the first MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase, Omega x Swatch introduced another "Snoopy" model made of black bioceramic. Like its predecessor, the watch features a moon phase display with Snoopy and Woodstock.

The Mission to the Moonphase New Moon is the second "Snoopy" model in the popular Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch collection, following the recently released Mission to the Moonphase Full Moon.
The two models are technically identical, but differ in one important respect: while the Full Moon is made of white bioceramic, Swatch makes the New Moon with black bioceramic. Another detail that distinguishes the two timepieces is the arrangement of the moon phase display, which is located at 2 o'clock on both models, but is horizontal on the Full Moon and vertical on the New Moon. Snoopy and Woodstock, as well as the "I can't sleep without a night light!" inscription (only visible under UV light), also feature on both watches.
All the other specifications of the New Moon are identical to those of the standard MoonSwatch models. These include the exact dimensions of Omega's legendary Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the Speedmaster and MoonSwatch inscriptions on the dial, and a tachymeter bezel, aka "dot over 90" (or "DON") bezel. The hands and indices are also copied from the original Moonwatch.
As with all MoonSwatch models, the Mission to the Moonphase New Moon is powered by a reliable quartz movement.
Snoopy and the Speedmaster
Snoopy has been NASA's mascot since the 1960s. After the near-disaster of the Apollo 13 mission, in which an explosion destroyed most of the computers and the astronauts were only able to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere safely thanks to a Speedmaster, NASA presented Omega with the Silver Snoopy Award. To celebrate this honor, Omega launched three special editions of the Speedmaster Moonwatch. These "Snoopy models" are extremely popular with Speedmaster fans and collectors.
It'll be intriguing to see whether the Snoopy MoonSwatch models will attain similar cult status.

How much does the MoonSwatch Mission to the New Moon cost?
The official list price of the Mission to the Moonphase New Moon is 310 USD.
The MoonSwatch Mission to the New Moon is only available at selected Swatch boutiques. As with all MoonSwatch models, this means that the watch will be difficult to obtain through official channels, especially in the early stages. Prices on the secondary market are expected to be significantly higher than the MSRP. However, as it's not a limited edition model, experience shows that prices are likely to normalize once the hype dies down.
