Product Description
Vintage Rolex GMT Master with pointed crown guards (PCG) and a gorgeous gilt radium underline dial. This historically important timepiece is among the most interesting of the 1675 range, with the underline symbol beneath the 'Officially Certified" present on only very few examples - used to signify a reduced intensity of radium. The presence of triple papers (chronometer certificate, guarantee certificate, and movement certificate) adds to the already impressive features of this watch. The dial itself has developed a great even brown patina, and the hour markers have gently faded. The hands have been replaced with later tritium ones, though they themselves have developed a gently fade, and do not stand out drastically from the dial or hour-markers. The case has been kept in incredible condition, and the lugs are wide, with very clearly visible chamfers. The dial is untouched, and displays signs of age and use. We have provided ample images to illustrate the original condition, with no attempt made to obscure or hide any features. The bezel insert has faded strongly, and has marks throughout. The case back is stamped II 61, denoting its manufacture in the 2nd quarter of 1961 - and the watch's serial number corroborates this. Both the serial number and reference number are clearly legible. The movement is original, and is in very good condition. The date wheel has been replaced at some point in its life. Please review the images as they form part of the description. This watch is in working order however, due to its age, it may not fall under typical tolerances for time-keeping. It is not be suitable for use in water. This watch is guaranteed authentic. All our watches, as ever, are covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee, so buy in confidence.
