The Breitling Colt was born in the 1980s and initially intended for the armed forces – like other Breitling watches such as the Navitimer and the Chronomat – before winning over a broad audience through its sturdiness, its reliability and its readability. It has since established itself as the most accessible Breitling model.

The Colt line was redesigned in 2011, and also split off from the Aeromarine series into its own category. The Colt line as of 2011 consists of quartz models and mechanical movements.

The Colt combines iconic design features that defined the brand in the 80s and 90s and has withstood the test of time by modernising some features whilst still retaining the essence of the original model, thus making the Colt a true embodiment of style.
